Requirements

• Parents of the child to be baptized must be registered parishioners or live within the boundaries of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
• Parents AND godparents are required to attend 3 Baptism classes

Choosing the godparents:

• All Godparents (married or single) must be practicing Catholics
• Only one sponsor is needed but if there are two, they must be a male and a female.
• MARRIED GODPARENTS:  Must be married by the Catholic Church
• SINGLE GODPARENTS:   Must be 16 years of age and have celebrated their Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation.
• Non-Catholics cannot be godparents, but can be admitted as a witness to the Baptism.

At time of registration, please provide:

• Child's original birth certificate from the city/state.  Hospital birth certificate will not be accepted.
• Official names of Godparents and date & place of sacraments.
• Donation; usually $20.00 at the time of registration.

All documents must be submitted at the time of Registration
